Tree removal for the central Jersey Shore
A tree that's dead, leaning, hanging over the roof, or already on the ground after a storm. Give us a call and we'll put you in touch with an independent tree company that works in Long Branch, Ocean Township, Neptune, Asbury Park, Wall, Belmar and Spring Lake.
Every tree company we work with is registered with the New Jersey Board of Tree Experts, has a state-licensed tree expert or tree care operator, and carries liability insurance.

Questions people ask
Who will come to my house?
An independent tree company that works in your part of Monmouth County. Under New Jersey's Tree Expert and Tree Care Operators Licensing Act, a business doing tree care here has to be registered with the New Jersey Board of Tree Experts, have at least one licensed tree expert or licensed tree care operator, and carry liability insurance and workers' compensation. We only work with companies that do. Their registration number, which starts with NJTC, should be on their trucks, and you can look it up in the Board's business directory.
Does it cost anything to call?
No, calling is free. Most tree companies come out and look at the tree before they give you a price. If they charge for that, they'll tell you first.
A tree came down in a storm. What should I do?
Get everyone out of any room where the tree came through, and stay well away from any wires it may have pulled down. If wires are involved, call your power company first. Take photos for your insurance company, then call us. There's more on our emergency tree service page.
Should I get a written estimate?
Yes. Ask for the price in writing, along with what's included: cutting the tree down, hauling away the wood and brush, and grinding the stump. Those are sometimes priced separately, so it helps to know up front.
Will my insurance cover it?
That depends on your policy and what happened. When a tree falls on your house, garage or fence, the damage and the cost of getting the tree off it are often covered. When a tree falls in the yard without hitting anything, removal often isn't, and taking down a dead tree before it falls usually isn't either. Check your policy or call your insurance company, take photos, and keep receipts.
Do I need a permit to take down a tree?
Some towns have their own rules about removing trees, especially large ones or trees near the street. The tree company can usually tell you what your town expects, or you can call your town hall to be sure.
